Silver saw palm, Paurotis Palm, Everglades Palm 

DESCRIPTION

A very slenderer trunked (4” diameter) clumping palm with palmate fronds.  This palm does great as a specimen in both small (When well maintained) and larger landscapes.   

 

ORIGIN: Florida, Caribbean coast of Central America and the West Indies. 

SUNLIGHT: Full sun

DROUGHT TOLERANCE:  True water lover, but needs drainage.

HARDINESS ZONE:  9B plus

SALT TOLERANCE:  Tolerant

TYPICAL HEIGHT:  20-40 feet tall. 

GROWTH RATE:  Slow
