Chinese Fan Palm 

DESCRIPTION

A graceful medium-sized palm that does well in the Florida landscape, and in homes across the country.  Because of its drooping leaf segment tips, this species is sometimes called the "fountain palm".  
 

ORIGIN:  Southern Japan, Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, southeastern China and Hainan.

SUNLIGHT: Full to part sun

DROUGHT TOLERANCE: Tolerant once established.

HARDINESS ZONE: 9A +

SALT TOLERANCE:  Moderately tolerant of salt spray

TYPICAL HEIGHT: 30 feet

GROWTH RATE:  Slow
