This plant ships in a 10-inch, #3 container and is approximately 18-24 inches tall. 
 
Description:  
A small palm with a trunk that can take the cold.  Some clump and some are solitary.  The crown is compact and stiff with armed petioles.  It does great as a specimen in a small landscape and in a group in a larger landscape.  They also do well in large containers for quite some time.    
 
Cultural Requirements:
SUNLIGHT:  Full sun 
DROUGHT TOLERANCE:  Tolerant 
HARDINESS ZONE:  8 plus in my opinion, some have said 7B and others 9.  They seem to be hardier in climates with less humidity.    
SALT TOLERANCE: Slight
TYPICAL HEIGHT:  Up to 20 feet
GROWTH RATE: Slow
