It forms a dense, multi-stemmed cluster of slender trunks with bright green palmate leaves that are silvery underneath. Its architectural look, wind tolerance, and cold hardiness make it a standout in both coastal and inland landscapes. It thrives in wet soils but also tolerates periods of drought once established.
