Description
Coccoloba diversifolia, or Pigeon Plum, is a hardy, evergreen shrub or small tree native to Florida, the Caribbean, and Central America. It features small, glossy, rounded green leaves and a dense growth habit, making it ideal for hedges, privacy screens, and coastal landscapes.
In spring and summer, it produces small greenish-white flowers followed by purple-black fruit that attract birds and wildlife. Pigeon Plum is highly valued for its salt tolerance, wind resistance, and adaptability, especially in South Florida and coastal regions.
