Description
The Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis) is a majestic, slow-growing palm native to the Canary Islands. It features a thick, sturdy trunk and a large crown of feathery, arching fronds that can reach 15 feet in length. Its formal and grand appearance makes it a popular choice for resorts, cityscapes, estates, and large landscapes. While it can tolerate drought and poor soils, it thrives best with regular watering and full sun. Mature specimens may also produce small, ornamental dates.
