Pinus elliottii, or Slash Pine, is a fast-growing evergreen conifer native to the southeastern United States, including Florida. It is widely used for timber, reforestation, and landscape planting, and is well adapted to wet, flatwoods, and sandy soils.
This species features a straight trunk, long dark green needles, and a tall, open canopy as it matures. It is an excellent choice for naturalized landscapes, windbreaks, or large properties where a native, hardy tree is desired.
